1. The Number One Rule: Experience vs Cost

Accept this fact as soon as you can: Disney always wins.

The bottom line comes down to the experience you’ll have. And the quality of your experience is tied to the amount of money you are willing to spend. You could certainly cut costs by buying single park passes and staying off property. But this will greatly affect your experience, and the amount of time you get to spend having fun at the park. Disney knows this.

2. The advantages of onsite hotels

The rooms themselves aren’t very luxurious, but there are two distinct advantages to staying onsite.

The first advantage: Transportation. The Contemporary, The Polynesian and The Grand Floridian have monorail access to The Magic Kingdom. This is probably the quickest way to get onto property. Other properties have sky gondolas and boats taking you to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
