Just finished watching the “Inventing Anna” biopic on Netflix.

The term “scam culture” was used somewhere, and it seemed to really encapsulate everything here.

Whenever there’s a high net worth individual, there will always be a couple of scam artists trying to penetrate their circle, pretending to be one of them.

There’s always one at a party. Usually more than one. Remember that scene where Anna ran into Billy McFarland (the Fyre Festival guy)?

They build confidence by “getting in” with various members of the circle — this is known as social proof. Eventually, people just assume they belong there, and start vouching for them. So, keep a watchful eye, and protect your friends.
